Missionary Department

The Missionary Department is a group of women who have a special call on their lives. They are assigned roles to lead and are willing to assist in the service of God in any capacity. As Missionaries, they visit hospitals, nursing homes, and the sick and shut-in.

The purpose of the Mission Church Missionary Department is to assist in the work and ministry of our church and Pastor through diligent service, fervent prayer, faithful giving, consecration and obedience to the Word of God.  The Missionaries are Holy Ghost filled women who have accepted the charge to be godly examples in all manner of conversation and lifestyle.  We seek to uphold the apostolic standard to holiness and submit to the headship, doctrine and leadership of our church.

The Missionary Department consist of women of God that have been consecrated to serve as Altar Workers and are encouraged to pray for and to wait (tarry) with souls (seekers) who are seeking to be filled with the gift of the Holy Ghost, with the evidence of speaking in tongues as the Spirit of God gives the utterance.

The Missionary Department endeavors to promote a higher level of spirituality through the sponsorship of monthly worship and praise services and annual revivals.  We participate in the preparation of the Holy Communion Services.  We embrace our calling to harvest souls for the Kingdom of God by diligently sharing the Good News of the Gospel to a lost and dying world.  Our efforts to fulfill call to service in support of the general church family we coordinate several annual events that include:  Family Week, Annual Thanksgiving Fellowship Dinner, Sisterhood Prayer & Shut-In and various special projects.

In support and agreement with the vision the Lord has imparted to our Pastor, we have accepted the mantel of "Planning for the Future".  This vision charges us to plan and prepare for our heavenly home with the Lord Jesus Christ, as well a mentor, train and leave an apostolic legacy of holiness to the next generation.  We strive to fulfill this mandate and vision by sponsoring monthly Youth Prayer and Tarry Services, overseeing the Missionette Program and living a life of exampleship that other would want to follow.

Our benevolent service both to the church and the community includes: annual community service projects, nursing home and sick and shut-in visitation and maintenance and distribution of the Food Pantry.  In support the custodial care of the church building the Missionary Department coordinates the Church Kitchen, Sisterhood Lavatory upkeep, and Church Clean-Ups for the church in general.

The Missionary Department will continue to seek the Lord's will through fervent prayer and we desire to be effectual in our work for the Lord.  These things we commit to do in the spirit of obedience, meekness and love, endeavoring to do our reasonable service to the Glory of God.
